Great food in a rustic atmosphere: homemade, regional cuisine and prepared with love. Perfect rest after hiking in Saxon Switzerland. Insider tip: Roast the leg of sheep with an excellent sauce. Large playground at the restaurant. Sufficient parking spaces are available.

I stopped by here on a hike. Actually wanted to eat something here but came by here almost 1 hour before opening. Since I was urgently looking for a toilet, I walked around the house and found a very friendly person who left everything behind to unlock it for me. I was so grateful for that! The toilets / bathroom were brand new and sparkling clean. That surprised me very positively. So I can't comment on the food or the rooms, but I suspect good service and friendly staff. We were with you today for a cozy dinner. SUPER GREAT! The service is very quick and attentive. The prices are perfectly okay for the quality and the really good portion sizes of the food. Drinks prices are totally normal for a gastronomic establishment. (I cannot understand the partly negative reviews for it) We will definitely be back! Keep it up! LG

Highly recommended we ordered a table for four people, I ate pasture sheep with bacon beans was delicious. The stay and the service were very good.

Very nice ambience, very good food and fast and friendly service. We came for dinner with friends and had a wonderful evening in a pleasant atmosphere. We haven't been to the Hockstein tavern for about 45 years and that is sure to change now. Finally, we learned some exciting information about the construction of this beautiful hut from the owner. The mighty trunks of the native forest were put together with great expertise and passion. The building alone is worth a visit.

I was there as a cyclist for 2 nights. Reservation problem-free, reception on site super friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, with mosquito screens on the window - very helpful. The breakfast left nothing to be desired, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I like to come back - not only because of the great location but also because of the hospitality of the host family.

A top address in Saxon Switzerland. But no insider tip :) very nice terrace to sit outside with a panoramic view of the Königstein fortress. Unfortunately, the restaurant is located directly on a main road, so some noise from the street. The food tastes delicious, everything is homemade. Portions are also relatively large. (Roulade could have been a little bigger) For children there is also a small playground below the restaurant. Service also friendly and quick. Keep it up!

As a precaution, we asked the restaurant by phone in advance whether it would be possible to come to eat, they agreed to it nicely. When we were there we were rude and told that the gentleman was not informed. pretty sad since we went there and several tables were free. It was anything but hospitable. Especially since it was not easy to find something else at this time, the child had to go through an eternal search with an empty stomach.

A traditional restaurant, which has been extended by an extension in modern wood block construction. The guest room radiates a warm and cozy atmosphere. He was very stylishly decorated. The food is fresh and tasted delicious. The service was very friendly and fast. On weekdays one finds also sufficient park possibilities.
